Harry Venning

 

Harry Venning is an award winning cartoonist, comedy writer and performer based in Brighton.

Harry’s cartoons have appeared in publications as diverse as Mathematics Today, Radio Times, Music Teacher and The Stage. For twenty five years he provided The Guardian with the weekly strip cartoon Clare In The Community, about an unaware and empathy free social worker. In 2004 he developed Clare In The Community into a successful BBC Radio 4 which ran for twelve series and won the Sony Award for comedy.

When not at a desk , Harry tours his cartoon workshop Release Your Inner Cartoonist around schools, theatres, arts centres and festivals.

 

 

 

Jolie Goodman MA (Fine Art) is an artist based in South London she trained as a painter at Chelsea School of Art.

Jolie paints, makes digital imagery and undertakes creative consultancy. She draws at Conferences, captures the content of focus groups, leads creative evaluation work, and makes art for commission, including portraits. Exhibiting at the Royal Academy, Greater London Assembly and has been featured in the Observer newspaper. 

She has also worked from a survivor perspective in mental health and social care for 20 years. Roles include Chief Executive at Lambeth and Southwark Mind and Programmes Manager for Empowerment & Later Life at the Mental Health Foundation. Her expertise is in later life: mental health, housing, co-production, and digital technology.
